Rasmus Hojlund, Kyle Walker involved in heated clash during Manchester Derby

The Manchester Derby got off to a heated start on Sunday, December 15 as Rasmus Hojlund and Kyle Walker clashed against each other in the first half of the game. the incident happened in the 39th minute of the match, with Walker tripping the Manchester United forward. Hojlund reacted in fury and seemingly headbutted the Manchester City star.

As the players and the referee ran towards the scuffle, heated arguments broke out between the two sets of players. However, the replays showed that Walker was not headbutted by Hojlund, and that the Manchester City right-back had play-acted to potentially get the forward booked.

The referee handed out a yellow card each to both the players.

On Sunday, playing at the Etihad Stadium, tempers flared between both sets of players as Rasmus Hojlund got involded in pushing and shoving with Erling Haaland, when the Man United forward was charged with defending the City striker during set pieces.

Despite a shot-shy first half, Manchester United were not able to maintain a clean sheet against City in the first half. Having conceded 3 goals from the corner in the last 2 Premier League games, the visitors conceded another in the 36th minute, courtesy of City defender Josko Gvardiol.

At half-time, Manchester United had failed to register a single shot on target.
