Congress leader Rahul Gandhi shook a large-scale political line on Saturday when he claimed that former Union Minister Late Arun Jaitley threatened him to oppose the now-scrapped form laws.

The BJP soon flagged the Lok Sabha leader of the bizarre claim of the opposition as “fake news” and asked him to stick to the facts instead of re -writing the deadline for “suit stories”.

In particular, the controversial three farm laws were introduced as an ordinance by the Center in June 2020, about a year after the death of Arun Jaitley in August 2019, after a prolonged illness.

What did Rahul Gandhi claim?

Addressing the annual legal conclave 2025 before today, the Congress leader claimed that the government had sent the BJP Stallwart to threaten him to oppose the farm laws.

“I remember when I was fighting farm laws, Arun Jaitley ji was sent to me to threaten me. He told me,” If you oppose the government, we have to work against you, fighting the field laws. “

BJP’s response

Rahul Gandhi’s remarks attracted BJP’s Ire, who demanded a public apology for his “new lies”.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitarman slammed the Congress leader to suppress the baseless allegations against a person who is not much alive. He further said that his comment against Arun Jaitley is low.

“If there is a face of irresponsibleness, it is @Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in LS. To throw baseless allegations against people in public life, even those who are not with us, are becoming a personality characteristic. X.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also launched a scary attack on the Lok Sabha leader of the opposition to disrespect Arun Jaitley.

“Rahul Gandhi has completely cut all the standards of decoration in public life. Former Union Minister and senior leader, late Arun Jaitley ji, is no longer among us. However, Rahul Gandhi’s immature and childish, disgusting mentality has asked to lie in the name of the late Arun Jaitley ji, which he said that he is related to his father -in -law.”

He said, “Rahul Gandhi’s language is miles away from a dignified person; he has forgotten how to speak and operate himself on a public platform! For this shameful and condemnable language, Rahul Gandhi should immediately apologize to Jaitley ji, his family and his supporters.”

BJP MP Anurag Thakur said that Congress and lies cannot be separated. He further urged him to apologize for his clear comments.

“Congress and lies cannot be separated. The only truth about Congress is that he always lies. Arjun Jaitley was a leader who earned a lot of respect at parties … The farm law law Arun Jaitley came a year after the death. Rahul Gandhi is apologizing to many courts; he said that as quoted by news agency PTI.

BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad quoted PTI as saying, “It is a false lie that he (Rahul Gandhi) has said about a respected leader who was the Finance Minister and is no longer among us.”

In a rapid refutation, BJP IT cell chief Malavia said, “Rahul Gandhi claims that Arun Jaitley approached him to water the 2020 farm laws. Let’s set the record straight – Arun Jaitley ji died on August 24, 2019.”

He said, “Draft Farms Bills was brought to the Union Cabinet on June 3, 2020. The laws were implemented in September 2020,” he said, whether in any discussion, whether in support or opposition to the bill, began after “these events”.

Malavia said, “To suggest that Arun Jaitley ji contacted him for anything, which is factually wrong and misleading,” let’s stick to the facts and rewrite the deadline to suit the stories. ,

Rohan Jaitley fact check Rahul Gandhi

Arun Jaitley’s son Rohan Jaitley also took X and slammed Gandhi to his comment, asked the Congress leader to “rest resting” peacefully.

He said, “Rahul Gandhi now claims my late father, Arun Jaitley, threatened him on farm laws. Remind me, my father died in 2019. The farm laws were introduced in 2020,” he said.

Rohan Jaitley said, “Even more importantly, it was not in my father’s nature to threaten anyone to an anti -attitude. He was a staunch democrat and always believed in the creation of consensus.”

“If such a situation occurs in such a situation, as often happens in politics, he invites free and open discussions to reach a mutually acceptable solution for everyone. Just that was what he was and today he remains his legacy. I appreciate Rahul Gandhi that he is not with us.
