Star India batter Virat Kohli’s fan was seen falling at his feet as he celebrated his 52nd ODI century during the first match against South Africa at the JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi. Kohli played a sensational innings in the series opener as he looked at his vintage best.

The batting stalwart celebrated his century in style as he leapt into the air and ecstatically let out a fierce roar. However, his celebration was interrupted by a pitch invader who came running to meet him and fell at his feet. The young fan was quickly separated from Kohli by security, who kissed his wedding ring upon completing the milestone.

Kohli got off the mark with a boundary on the very first ball as an outside edge ran towards third man for four. From there on, he looked at his vintage best, playing some gorgeous shots all around the ground. He scored his second boundary with a gorgeous straight drive against Nandre Burger and further whacked him for a sensational six straight down the ground with a lofted drive.

The right-handed batter was on a six-hitting fest as he further danced down the track against Ottneil Baartman and hit him over long-off for another maximum. Kohli brought up his 76th ODI half century off 48 balls, reaching the milestone with another maximum over deep mid-wicket.

He got involved in a massive 136-run partnership off 109 balls for the second wicket with Rohit Sharma (57 off 51), who broke the world record for most sixes in ODI cricket. Kohli completed his century off 102 balls as he guided Marco Jansen for a boundary through third man. It was also his third century in Ranchi, having earlier achieved the feat against Sri Lanka and Australia.

He was finally dismissed for 135 (120) by Nandre Burger, who outfoxed him with a slower delivery. Kohli was given a rousing applause by the crowd as he walked back to the pavilion after an innings which was studded with 11 fours and seven sixes.
