Popular South Indian actor Vijay’s ‘Jana Nayagan’ has reportedly generated significant revenue for the production even before its theatrical release. In particular, the grand audio launch held in Malaysia on December 27 turned into a major money-spinning event, going beyond a standard promotional function. Coupled with other aspects such as telecast and syndication rights, sponsorship and equity, profit from various global distributors, ‘Jana Nayagan’ is already enjoying great commercial success prior to its box office success.
Pre-release earnings exceed production costs
Reportedly, Vijay’s fee is Rs. 250 crore for H Vinoth’s directorial. The star-studded film’s total budget is around Rs. 350 crore.
