Zee Tv has announced a new show named Pavitra Rishta, which is set to go air soon. However, the news has upset the OG producer of Pavitra Rishta, Ekta Kapoor. She is seemingly not happy with the title reuse and recently took to her Instagram story to call out the makers. She called out the title use for its “terrible ethics,” labelling it as “intellectual bankruptcy.”

Taking to her Instagram stories, Ekta wrote, “When u can`t create an IP u feed on an established one of another creator!” She further blasted at the makers, saying, “Terrible ethics or intellectual bankruptcy!!! Or both!!! Nothing Pavitra about it!!! (sic)”
The upcoming show created by Siddharttha Vankara holds significance with Ekta`s iconic 2009 show Pavitra Rishta, which starred Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande in the lead roles.

The upcoming show, Pavitra Rishta, will star Abrar Qazi and Priyanshi Yadav in the lead. The love story is produced by Aman Sachdeva and created by Siddharttha Vankara. Pallav Pradhan and Roopa Divetia will also be seen in key roles in the show.
According to Times of India reports, Pavitra Rishta is set to go on floors in January 2026. Following that, the show is expected to release sometime in February. Abrar Qazi, who got his big break from 2018`s Laila Majnu, has continued to make a name for himself in the Television shows. He was later seen in TV shows such as Gathbandhan, Yeh Hai Chahtein, Ravivaar With Star Parivaar, Kumkum Bhagya, and Kabhi Neem Neem Kabhi Shahad Shahad.
Abrar once opened up about gaining fame after Laila Majnu`s re-release, saying, “Laila Majnu did not help my career at the time, but after it was re-released last year, people appreciated my work.” He further admitted that since doing movies takes much time, he will be working more between OTT and TV spaces.
On the other hand, Priyanshi Yadav started with a minor role in Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi. Later, she was seen in shows such as Doree, Pamdya Stores, Chakravarti Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan and more.
