Aamir Ali recalls being sexually harassed at the age of 14: 'I stopped travelling in train'

Aamir Ali known for being a television actor, is now also a part of many OTT projects – be it ‘The Trial’ or ‘Doctors’. In a recent interview, Aamir has revealed that he was sexually harassed when he was just 14 years old and used to travel by train. However, he further added that this did not make him generalise people as he later found many of his guy friends being gay and he was comfortable around them.
The actor said in an interview with Hauterrfly, “When you are young and the first time I traveled in a train… The reason I stopped travelling in trains because I was being touched. I was 14. Then I started started holding my bag closer to my back side. Then one day, someone stole books from my bag and I was like ‘Who steals books?’ And I decided I won’t travel in a train.”
He added, “Then, I had a couple of friends who came out and said that they have feelings for a man, and I know them so well. They are like my brothers. I can sleep with them on the same bed. And when they came out, then I felt like that just because of a couple of experiences, I can’t judge the whole world. When you mature, you understand, your thoughts change.”
For those not in the know, Aamir was previous married to Sanjeeda Sheikh, who was last seen in ‘Fighter’ and ‘Heeramandi’. They have a six-year old daughter Arya. In a recent interview with Times Of India, Aamir had revealed that he is not in touch with his daughter. The actor has admitted that he’s now dating Ankita Kukreti.
