After a hiatus, Divyaa Agarwal returns to reality TV with The 50

Divyaa Agarwal is all set to return to the reality show space, but she is clear that The 50 feels nothing like anything she has done before. Calling it a completely new and unfamiliar experience, the actor and reality show winner says the unpredictability of the format and its strong focus on performance were the biggest reasons she agreed to be part of the show.

Divyaa Agarwal talks about The 50

“What truly excited me was the fact that this is unexplored territory,” Divyaa Agarwal shares. “Whenever a show launches with its first season, whether on television or OTT, it starts with a clean slate. There are no fixed patterns, no preconceived notions, and that uncertainty really brings out my competitive side.”

Unlike popular reality formats she has previously been part of, Divyaa believes The 50 offers no comfort zone for contestants. “With other shows, you at least know what to expect emotionally and strategically,” she explains. “In shows like Bigg Boss OTT, you walk in with some sort of mental roadmap. Here, it’s very straightforward. If you don’t perform, you don’t move ahead. There are no shortcuts, no safety nets, and that’s exactly what makes it challenging and exciting.”

The presence of 50 contestants, which many might find intimidating, actually worked in her favour. “When I heard people hesitate just because of the number of contestants, it made me realise that not everyone has the mindset to dive headfirst into a challenge,” she says. “For me, that was motivating. I’m someone who enjoys running towards difficulty rather than away from it. Competition energises me.”

Why is Divyaa a strong contender?

Despite having already won major reality shows and established herself as a strong competitor, Divyaa insists her hunger to compete has not faded. “It’s never been about necessity for me, it’s always been about desire,” she says candidly. “I don’t do shows because I need them. I do them because I want to challenge myself and grow.”

She adds that while winning is always on her mind, she is consciously keeping pressure at bay. “Of course I want to win, but not at the cost of my peace,” Divyaa says. “My only promise to myself is to give it my absolute best, stay honest to my performance, and enjoy the journey.”

With her confidence, experience and fearless attitude, Divyaa Agarwal’s return to the reality show arena is already creating buzz, making The 50 one of the most anticipated new formats to watch.
