Akshay Kumar visits Mahakaleshwar Temple
A video shared by ANI shows Akshay and Dimple offering prayers to Lord Shiva at the temple. Speaking to the media, Akshay said, “It was really good… I prayed for the entire country and my family. I prayed that our country may always excel and progress.”
The Mahakaleshwar Temple, located on the banks of the Shipra River, is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva and holds immense religious and cultural significance. For the occasion, Akshay looked calm and composed in a simple white kurta-pyjama, while Dimple Kapadia opted for an elegant blush-pink saree.
Akshay opens up on insecurities
Recently, on his reality show Wheel of Fortune, Akshay opened up about feeling insecure in highly educated environments. He said, “Koi bhi insaan, khaaskar mujh jaisa jo zyada padha-likha nahi hai, main kabhi-kabhi bahut chhota mehsoos karta hoon aap jaise logon ke saamne. (Any person, especially someone like me who isn’t that educated, sometimes feels very small in front of people like you.)”
He further added, “Kabhi-kabhi main sochta hoon mujhe padhna chahiye. Ab mehsoos hota hai ki kaash main padha hota. Lekin ab jab padhna chahta hoon tab bhi nahi padh sakta, kyunki mujhe padhna achha hi nahi lagta, bas itni si baat hai.” This candid revelation reflects a rare and relatable side of the superstar beyond his larger-than-life on-screen persona.
