Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) teenage batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi is willing to double down his efforts in the next season of the Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025) to help his team enter the final. Suryavanshi took the IPL by storm as he hit his very first delivery in the tournament for a six and further scored a breathtaking century off just 35 deliveries, the fastest by an Indian in the tournament’s history.
Suryavanshi finished the season with 252 runs from seven innings at an average of 36 and a strike rate of 206.55 with one century and one fifty to his name. The 14-year-old was adjudged ‘Super striker of the season’ for his massive strike rate of 206.55.
Reflecting on his remarkable debut season, Suryavanshi vowed to perform even better next time around to take Rajasthan into the final of the tournament.
“The key learning is that whatever I did this season, I have to do it better next time—not just better, but twice as good—so that my team makes it to the finals next year. I will focus on how can I contribute as much as possible towards that goal,” Suryavanshi said in a video shared on the IPL website.
Furthermore, the teenage batting sensation mentioned that he will work on his shortcomings next season and try to perform better.
“Playing in the IPL is like a dream for everyone, and this was my first season. I gained a lot of positives from this first season. Next season, I’ll try to do even more for the team. I also got to learn a lot, so I’ll work on the areas where I fell short this year and try to perform even better next year for the team,” he added.
Meanwhile, Suryavanshi will next travel to England with the Indian Under-19 team, scheduled from June 24 to July 23, 2025. The tour comprises a 50-over warm-up match, followed by a five-match Youth One-Day series and two Multi-Day matches against England U19.
