Asia Cup 2025: India vs Pakistan to be played on 14 September in Dubai

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) unveiled the complete schedule and venues for the Asia Cup 2025 on Saturday, August 2. The tournament is set to be played from September 9, and the India vs Pakistan fixture will take place on September 14 in Dubai. The continental tournament, which will be played in the T20 format, will be entirely held in the UAE. A total of eight teams will be participating in the tournament, and the final will be played on 28 September in Dubai.

A total of 19 matches will be contested in this edition of the Asia Cup, featuring eight teams – two more than the previous edition. India and Pakistan have been drawn in Group A along with UAE and Oman, while Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Hong Kong have been placed in Group B. In the group stages, teams will face each other once, and the top two from each group will further advance to Super 4, where they will again face each other once.

India and Pakistan could lock horns as many as three times in the tournament, as there’s a likelihood of them meeting again in the Super 4 stages on September 21 and the final as well, after the group stages. However, in the 16 editions of the tournament so far, India and Pakistan have never met in the final.
