Australia`s premier all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has announced his retirement from the One-Day Internationals (ODIs).
While speaking on a `Final Word Podcast`, the all-rounder stated that he conducted a chat with George Bailey and stated that he won`t be available for the ODI World Cup 2027.
“We talked about the 2027 World Cup and I said to him `I don`t think I am going to make that, it`s time to start planning for people in my position to have a crack at it and make the position their own`,” said Maxwell.
He also stated that considering his body conditions, the 36-year-old felt he was letting the team down.
