Big Cricket League QR Code Awareness Campaign in Delhi-NCR
Big Cricket League’s QR Code Campaign – Engaging cricket fans outside metro stations!

In an innovative move to engage aspiring cricketers and fans alike, the Big Cricket League (BCL) has launched a creative awareness campaign utilizing QR codes. This initiative, featuring human billboards with the question “Are you a cricketer?” and a scannable QR code, has been making waves across Delhi-NCR, captivating the attention of thousands.

Engaging the Public with Human Billboards

BCL’s unique approach involved deploying individuals as human billboards in high-traffic areas such as Connaught Place, India Gate, and various parts of Noida and Gurugram. Passersby intrigued by the question and QR code were prompted to scan, leading them to a video detailing the Big Cricket League’s objectives and upcoming events. This direct interaction strategy effectively bridged the gap between the league and potential participants, fostering a sense of community and excitement.

Extending Outreach to Local Cricket Grounds

Beyond bustling marketplaces and historic landmarks, the campaign extended its reach to local cricket grounds throughout Delhi-NCR. By engaging directly with amateur cricketers during their practice sessions, BCL demonstrated its commitment to nurturing grassroots talent and providing opportunities for local players to shine on a larger stage.

Anticipation Builds for BCL Season 2

Following the success of its inaugural season in December 2024, which recorded a remarkable 16.1 million live viewership across Sony Sports Network and FanCode, BCL is gearing up for Season 2. The upcoming trials, set to commence in March, will kick off in Delhi, aiming to unearth the best amateur cricketers across the country. Participants will have the chance to play alongside cricketing legends such as Shikhar Dhawan, Irfan Pathan, Suresh Raina, and Yusuf Pathan, all of whom graced the field in the first season.

BCL 2025 Schedule & Time Table

The fixtures for BCL 2025 are expected to follow a similar format to 2024, with group-stage matches leading to semi-finals and a grand final. Below is the expected schedule based on last season:

RP Singh, Founder and President of BCL, expressed enthusiasm for the talent hunt phase: “I can’t wait for the talent hunt phase of Season 2 to begin & the team is overwhelmed with the response from this awareness campaign. People were intrigued, thrilled & excited to know what we are doing & I hope BCL reaches every household in India that loves cricket because it’s a league for the people who love cricket & want to be a part of it.”

A Platform Where Dreams Meet Reality

The Big Cricket League stands as more than just a tournament; it’s a vision that allows thousands to live their dreams. By merging mass participation with class, fans with heroes, and dreams with realities, BCL offers a T20 tournament filled with excitement, drama, skill, and a diverse range of talent.
