Bigg Boss 19: Gaurav Khanna loses calm when journalist calls him `lombdi`

Gaurav Khanna was one of the most sought-after contestants on Bigg Boss 19. The Anupamaa actor has received accolades for his calm and polite demeanour on the reality show. Gaurav has only had a few fights with his co-contestants in BB 19. The latest Bigg Boss 19 ad shows Gaurav losing his cool after being branded `lombdi` during a press conference.

Gaurav Khanna`s reaction to allegations

The makers of Bigg Boss 19 have released a new promo on X. The promo begins with a journalist questioning Farrhana Bhatt about her `badtameez` status. The actress agreed that it is part of her personality. Towards the end of the promo, a media person informed the Anupamaa star, “Gaurav aap aisi lombdi hai jo sher ke khal mein hai.”

The remark clearly enraged Gaurav, who sternly stated that one may win a show like Bigg Boss without using abusive language or engaging in disrespectful behaviour. His statement instantly went viral, with fans questioning both the reporter`s remark and Gaurav`s response. Gaurav claimed that without using any abusive language, he has made it to the finale and that itself is a huge thing when it comes to being locked in the Bigg Boss 19 house.

With tensions increasing and reputations on the line, the press conference has undoubtedly placed the finalists under tremendous scrutiny as the finals approach. Gaurav, meanwhile, remains the first confirmed finalist after receiving the Ticket to the Finale. The remaining candidates, Amaal, Malti, Farrhana, Tanya, and Pranit, will now compete fiercely for a berth in the season`s finale.

All that happened in last Weekend Ka Vaar

In the last Weekend Ka Vaar of the season, during a task conducted by Madhuri Dixit, who graced the Bigg Boss Weekend Ka Vaar, Pranit took a sharp answer at Gaurav, labelling him “manipulative”. The comment, delivered in front of the entire house, instantly shifted the tone of the task from competitive to personal.  Pranit seemed determined to portray Gaurav in a negative light after he addressed Gaurav as manipulative.

Gaurav responded with remarkable clarity and composure. Without raising his voice or retaliating with insults, he said, “No one is dhoodh ka dhula over here. All play the game. I play it in my own way and at the right time.” The quote not only silenced the room but also exposed the hypocrisy behind the attack and targeting Gaurav Khanna— highlighting that every contestant is strategising in their own way, including those pointing fingers.

The friction escalated further when Malti, in the task, too echoed criticism, again attempting to frame Gaurav as someone who is calculative. Her remarks felt less like an observation and more like an effort to gang up on him at a crucial stage of the competition.
