Salman Khan hosts the popular reality show Bigg Boss 19, which recently shocked all viewers with the mid-week eviction of social media content creator Mridul Tiwari. Now, in the show`s freshly published ad, Amaal Mallik and Gaurav Khanna are shown arguing about one of the hottest debated themes, nepotism.
Nepotism has been a long-running controversy in Bollywood, and it has now spread to the Bigg Boss 19 house. On November 13, 2025, the show`s creators posted a preview of the following episode, in which Amaal Mallik and Gaurav Khanna discussed nepotism. Their conversation quickly escalated into an altercation.
Gaurav and Amaal`s debate on nepotism
The episode had a moment where Amaal and Gaurav were in a discussion about their struggles. Gaurav Khanna then says, “Pehle darwaza opportunity ka khulta hai, wo talent pe nahi hota. It is, provided you know the appropriate individuals.” Hearing this, Amaal immediately defended himself, saying, “Bhai, koi bhi star aap rakhlo, ussi tarah ki struggle hoti hai ek artist ki.” Then Malti Chahar said, “Struggle nhi hoti, mehnat same hoti hai.”
The CID actor then made a statement that reminded the crowd of Sidhant Chaturvedi. He went on: “Jahan tera struggle shuru hua hai, hum aspire karte hai.” Amaal, Daboo Malik`s son, responded, “Maine kabhi deny nahi kiya ki kisiko foot-in-the-door moment nahi mila,” but Gaurav interrupted him, “Main foot-in-the-door moment ki hi baat kar raha hu ki wo milna easier hai.” Then, Amaal Mallik, who was clearly irritated, responded, “I am not trying to wage a war with you, main fact pe fact pe fact phek raha hu. Hum reverse nepotism ke product hai sir.”
Amaal calls his father a failure
Amaal answered to Malti by adding that his father had failed in life and was at zero level. He stated, “Mere papa ko kabhi Anu Malik ka support mila he nahi; hum reverse nepotism ke product hain, sir. Daboo Malik was a flop, and I have no issue admitting it. “My father failed.”
Gaurav stated to Amaal that many people come to Mumbai to work in the sector, but they are not given the first opportunity. Gaurav states, “Joh pehla darwaza khulta hai opportunity ka woh talent par nahi hota.” 90 percent of it is fate or knowing the right people. Kahin na Kahin, knowing the proper people does assist. I respect your struggle. I hope you get my point.
Amaal went on to discuss his brother Amaal`s struggle, the hurdles he experienced, and the strength he got from his mother`s faith, adding, “When Armaan was nine, she told me, my son will be one of India`s biggest singers.”
