
Veteran actor Dharmendra passed away on November 24, putting the whole entertainment business and the nation in sadness. Following his death, various celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, shared poignant tributes on social media. Salman Khan, whom Dharmendra always affectionately referred to as his son, was also seen mourning his passing on Bigg Boss 19 Weekend Ka Vaar.
Salman Khan`s emotional tribute
During the weekend ka vaar episode, Salman Khan paid an emotional tribute to Dharmendra. Salman was almost teary-eyed as he shared, “Yeh hafta waise hi jo guzra hai, manatein maang kar, prarthnayein karke, aansuon ke saath guzra hai. Desh ko ek bahut hi bada jhatka laga hai, fans ko ek bahut hi bada jhatka laga hai. Industry ko ek bahut hi bada sadma pahuncha hai (This past week has passed with prayers, supplications and tears. The entire nation has suffered a massive shock, the fans have been deeply shaken, and the industry has received a huge blow).”
He further added, “I guess aap samajh rahe hain main kinki baat kar raha hoon. Anyway, God bless his soul. I wish I wasn’t doing this week’s Weekend Ka Vaar, but life goes on (I guess you understand who I’m talking about. Anyway, God bless his soul. Dharmendra and Salman had a very tight friendship. The actor has always mentioned how closely he followed Dharmendra when he first entered the film industry. When questioned about his fitness inspiration at a press conference for his Da-Bangg Tour in Qatar, Salman recently remarked, “Mere aane se pehle do–teen shaks the, aur unmein se awwal the Dharam ji (Before I entered the industry, there were two or three people, and Dharmendra was the foremost among them). He is my father, that’s the end. I love that man, and I just hope that he will come back.”
All about Dharmendra`s demise
Earlier in November, the legendary actor was brought to the hospital for medical issues. Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Govinda, and several others paid him a visit at Breach Candy Hospital. A day later, on November 10, news of his death spread online. However, his wife Hema Malini and daughter Esha Deol denied the reports.
Later, the actor`s family brought him back to his Juhu home to heal. However, on November 24, Dharmendra died at the age of 89. His death rites were performed in front of family members, and other Bollywood stars, including Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan, paid their tributes at the crematorium. Social media was awash with heartfelt tributes to the renowned actor.
