Liverpool boss Arne Slot envisioned a ‘very intense’ clash against Brighton in the English Premier League for his weary squad that pulled out all the stops to overturn a one goal deficit against Galatasaray in the Champions League on Wednesday.
“They play a very attractive and interesting style, which makes it complicated because we only have 62 hours of rest after we put in an enormous shift on Wednesday, in terms of physical performance,” Slot said on Friday.

“Brighton has always been a team that wants to bring the ball out from the back. They are going to make it a very intense game. We’ve played Brighton twice already this season and both games were fascinating, high-tempo affairs,” added Slot.
Liverpool responded to their 1-1 draw against a struggling Tottenham Hotspur by routing Galatasaray 4-0, and will be hoping for a similar result to quell their agitated fans in what has been a topsy-turvy season for the defending champions, who are fifth in the league currently.
