Veteran Telugu actor and former MLA Kota Srinivasa Rao died in 83. PM Modi, Amit Shah, and Chandrababu Naidu expressed condolences.

From Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, leaders of party lines on Sunday mourned the death of veteran Telugu actor and former MLA Kota Srinivasa Rao.

Rao died at the age of 83 due to prolonged illness in his residence in Filmnagar in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, two days after his 83rd birthday.

PM Modi expressed his condolences to the family of an experienced actor and recalled him for his “revating” performance and social service for his more than four decades long careers.

“Shri Kota Srinivasa Rao is suffering from the passage of Garu. He will be remembered for his cinematic talent and versatility. He thrilled the audience for generations with his revatting performance. He was at the forefront of social service and he persecuted the poor for his family and countless.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also expressed grief over the death of the former MLA.

“Great film personality Shri Kota Srinivasa Rao Garu saddened deeply. Praised his acting acting talent, Mr. Kota Srinivasa Rao Garu made his place in the hearts of the people and honored him for his devotion to appeal to the poor. Mournful family, friends and fans.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu also mourned his death, calling it “irreparable loss” to the Telugu film industry.

“The death of famous actor Kota Srinivasa Rao, who won the cinema audience’s affection with his versatile roles, is deeply saddened. In nearly four decades, his artistic contribution in cinema and theater areas in almost four decades, and the roles he will remain forever. The audience,” he said in a post on X.

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu arrived at the residence of Rao and arrived to pay tribute to him and express his condolences to the family.

Andhra Pradesh governor Abdul Nazir also expressed condolences to Rao’s death, saying that the actor left a permanent impression with his platform and screen performances, which touched crores of Telugu spectators worldwide.

Nazir said in a press release from Raj Bhavan, “Death of famous actor Rao, who won the hearts of the film audience with his diverse roles.”

YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy also expressed his grief, saying that Rao’s artistic heritage and impact on Telugu cinema would be remembered for generations to come.

In the post on X, Reddy said in a post on X, “Rao’s versatile performance left an indelible mark in Indian cinema. I provide heartfelt condolences and pray to his soul for peace.”

Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu also expressed deep grief and heartburn to the family.

“The death of famous actor Kota Srinivasa Rao, who won the cinema audience’s affection with his versatile roles, is deeply saddened. He said that the roles he portrayed in the areas of cinema and theater in about four decades, and the roles he portrayed will remain unexpected,” he said.

Telangana Chief Minister, a Revantha Reddy, also expressed grief over the death of an experienced actor, calling it an irreparable disadvantage to the film industry.

Reddy said that actor would be through many roles in the hearts of the Telugu people, which he portrayed, and also presented his condolences to the bereaved family.

“Prominent actor … Kota Srinivasa Rao Garu’s death has given a deep blow. For the film industry, his absence is an irreparable loss. Although Kota Garu is no longer physically with us … Through various roles he prayed for the hearts of the Telugu people forever.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President and MLC Mahesh Kumar Gaud expressed grief over the death of Rao. In the condolence message, Goud said that he was “deeply unhappy” from the passage of mythological actor and Padma Shri Awardee Kota Srinivasa Rao, who provided remarkable service for the Telugu film industry.

“Hearing that Padma Shri Kota Srinivasa Rao is not very much to hear. He acted in more than 750 films in various languages and made a unique place for herself in Indian cinema with his extraordinary acting talent.”

Apart from the politician, the film fraternity also expressed his grief over Rao’s death.

From Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi to Andhra Pradesh Vice President Pawan Kalyan, many were seen expressing condolences to Rao’s family. Actor Prakash Raj also to pay tribute to the late actor to visit Rao’s residence.

Filmmaker Allu Arvind, father of actor superstar Allu Arjun, also visited the grieving family. Speaking to the media, Arvind said, “Kota Srinivasa Rao was very close to our family … I was always eager to spend time with him because he was such an enthusiasm. His loss is a disadvantage for our family. I want his soul to rest in peace.”

Chiranjeevi called him a “versatility” and shared a long note on X and recalling his strong screen appearance and “zero” left his death behind.
