“The ideas of leaders like Madan Mohan Malviya, Lala Lajpat Rai, Bhagat Singh and Veer Savarkar have strengthened the Constitution. However, a particular party has always tried to usurp and hijack the process of constitution making,” he said.
The Defense Minister said, “The Constitution is not the contribution of any one party, but is a unique, transformative document rooted in the values of India.”
“In fact, the Congress party has insulted the Constitution many times, so they have no right to lecture us.”

“Seventy-five years ago, the Constituent Assembly completed the process of drafting the Constitution for newly independent India. After almost three years of rigorous debate and deliberations, we got our Constitution. Singh said in the Lok Sabha, the Constitution made by the Constituent Assembly was not just an official document but it was an expression of the will of the people.
“There was a state in the country where the Indian Constitution and parliamentary laws were not implemented properly. However, we have implemented the Constitution there also. The entire country is seeing the positive results of this decision.”
Rajnath Singh on constitutional amendment
Speaking on some historic decisions of PM Narendra Modi, Rajnath Singh in the Lok Sabha said, “The makers of the Constitution have given us a ‘living document’, which is moving forward with the need for change. That is why he has given the future generations the right to amend it. But we have never tampered with the ‘independence’ and ‘autonomy’ of any institution.
“The values of the Constitution are not for us just a matter of saying or showing. “The values of the Constitution, the path shown by the Constitution and the principles of the Constitution will be reflected everywhere in our minds, words and deeds,” he said.
“Today, many opposition leaders carry around a copy of the Constitution in their pockets. He has learned this since childhood. They have seen their families carrying the Constitution in their pockets for generations. But BJP puts the Constitution on its forehead. The Defense Minister said, our commitment towards the Constitution is completely clear.
“Whatever constitutional amendments our government under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi made in the last 10 years, their sole objective was to strengthen constitutional values. This was social welfare. It was empowerment of the people.”
“We abrogated Article 370 (in Jammu and Kashmir) to ensure the integrity of India. ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Act’ paved the way for social and economic empowerment of women. The 10 per cent reservation for the economically weaker sections was also inspired by the spirit of social justice,” Rajnath Singh said.
“If you look at the history of independent India, the Congress has not only amended the Constitution but also tried to gradually change it with malicious intent. When Pandit Nehru was the Prime Minister, the Constitution was amended about 17 times,” he said.
“Unlike the Congress, we have used the Constitution as a tool to score political points. We have lived the Constitution. He said, “Like a vigilant and true soldier, we have faced the conspiracies being hatched against the Constitution and have also endured great difficulties to protect it.”
Priyanka Gandhi gave her first speech in Lok Sabha
Following Rajnath Singh’s speech, MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra delivered her first address in the Lok Sabha as she spoke during the discussion on the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of India.
“Our Constitution is a ‘Safety armor‘ (Safety armor). As such ‘Safety armor‘that keeps citizens safe – it’s a’shield‘For justice, for unity, for the right to expression. It is sad that in the last 10 years, the ruling party colleagues who made tall claims made every effort to break it.shieldGandhi said.
“The Constitution promises social, economic and political justice. These promises are a protective shield and the work of breaking it has started. This government is trying to weaken reservation through lateral entry and privatization.”
