Dhanush and Aishwarya Rajinikanth are officially divorced now: Report

Dhanush and filmmaker Aishwarya Rajinikanth are now officially separated. Recent reports claim that the Chennai Family Welfare Court granted them a divorce, as they were unable to resolve issues in their marital life.
As per reports from Sun TV, the case had been heard three times earlier, but neither Dhanush nor Aishwarya attended those sessions. On Thursday, Aishwarya appeared in court, and the judge has now set a new hearing date for November 27, when the final divorce decree is likely to be issued.

Dhanush and Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth now head for divorce after announcing their separation in 2022

Dhanush and Aishwarya married in 2004 and are parents to two sons, Linga and Yatra. Despite living near each other in Poes Garden, they ensure that their children spend quality time with both parents. The couple actively co-parents and often shares moments with their sons on social media.
On January 17, 2022, Dhanush announced their separation through his Twitter handle, stating, “18 years of togetherness as friends, a couple, parents, and well-wishers to each other. The journey has been one of growth, understanding, adjustment, and adaptation. Today, we stand at a place where our paths separate.” Aishwarya also shared an official note announcing their decision to part ways.

Dhanush recently made headlines after actress Nayanthara criticized him for delaying her Netflix documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale. According to her open letter on Instagram, Dhanush refused to grant permission for a three-second clip from the 2015 Tamil movie Naanum Rowdy Dhaan to be included in the documentary. Dhanush had produced the film, in which Nayanthara was the lead actress.
Now, Dhanush responded by filing a civil suit against Nayanthara, accusing her of using the footage without consent. According to The Hindu, Dhanush’s legal team approached the Madras High Court to file the case against Nayanthara and her husband, filmmaker Vignesh Sivan.
