Dhurandhar 2: Aditya Dhar fixes goof up, new prints sent to theatres

Aditya Dhar’s directorial Dhurandhar 2 has emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of Indian cinema. The film, starring Ranveer Singh in the lead, was released in theatres on March 19 and serves as a follow-up to the hugely successful Dhurandhar, which released in December last year.

Now, the makers have taken note of an error pointed out by the audience and have rectified it. New prints of the film have been sent to theatres.

The goof-up in Dhurandhar 2

Following the film’s release, fans praised Aditya Dhar’s attention to detail in direction. However, a minor error in one scene sparked discussion online. The mistake was spotted in a scene featuring Ranveer Singh and Udaybir Sandhu, where they are engaged in a physical fight. In the scene, a cameraman briefly appears in a mirror reflection. Though it was a blink-and-miss moment, it caught viewers’ attention and quickly went viral on social media.

The makers addressed the issue by correcting the scene and sending revised prints of the film to theatres. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, “Cinemas across the country were sent revised prints of the film and were told to screen them with immediate effect. Some theatres received the new print on Saturday, while others got it on Sunday.”

The report further stated that in the updated version, the cameraman is no longer visible in the mirror’s reflection. It also noted that such minor errors can occur in large-scale productions, and appreciated the makers for promptly fixing the mistake. The corrected version is expected to be used for OTT and satellite releases as well.
