According to a new report shared by Filmfare, Dhurandhar 2 will feature Akshaye Khanna’s return, as the makers plan to reveal his backstory in the sequel. The report reads, “Our sources confirm that Akshaye Khanna will return to sets for a short one-week shoot, aimed at expanding his character’s backstory and adding more layers to his role in the next chapter of the franchise.”
In Dhurandhar, Akshaye Khanna plays Pakistani gangster Rehman Dakait. His brief, impromptu dance to Flipperachi’s Fa9La in the film went viral on social media. Despite all the attention, the actor has remained unfazed by the spotlight.

Akshaye Khanna is set to play Asuraguru Shukracharya in HanuMan fame Prasanth Varma’s upcoming superhero film, Mahakali. Directed by Puja Kolluru, Mahakali will mark Khanna’s debut in Telugu cinema.
He is also starring in Maharaj fame Siddharth P. Malhotra’s intense action thriller, Ikka, which is currently in production. Khanna is likely to play the main antagonist opposite Sunny Deol in the film. It also stars Dia Mirza, Tillotama Shome, and Sanjeeda Shaikh in pivotal roles.
