Aditya Dhar`s multi-starrer Dhurandhar crushed records when it released in December 2025. The recently released sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, is following suit and seems to be in no mood to slow down. After a ground-breaking opening day that saw the sequel collect a massive opening of Rs 100 crore in India. Post that the film did slow down a bit on Friday, but it was a negligible dip, resulting in little to no effect.
Dhurandhar 2 day 2 collection
Dhurandhar 2 released worldwide on Thursday, March 19, with paid previews starting on Wednesday. The paid previews turned out to be the largest in Indian cinema history. The film earned Rs 145 crore net on its opening day. The film enjoyed a festival release in India with holidays for Ugadi and Gudi Padwa in many parts of the country.
On its second day, it added an extraordinary Rs 81 crore. The film is now gearing up for a bumper weekend and the festival of Eid, where it could easily double up the numbers. Trade experts are estimating the film to earn over Rs 100 crore net on at least one day, if not both.
Overseas, too, Dhurandhar 2 had witnessed a phenomenal start. It has managed to earn almost USD 7 million (including paid previews) on its opening day. On Friday, the film added USD 5 million despite its ban in the Gulf region.

With that, Dhurandhar 2 has crossed Rs 200 crore in India and Rs 350 crore worldwide. These numbers take the film’s domestic collection to Rs 226 crore net ( Rs 269 crore gross) in just two days. Dhurandhar: The Revenge now adds the record for the two best single-day collections by a Hindi film in India to its list of achievements, pushing Jawan’s first Sunday to the third spot.
Dhurandhar 2 is expected to cross Rs 500 crore worldwide by Saturday itself.
Apart from Ranveer Singh, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi also return in Dhurandhar 2. Helmed by Aditya Dhar, the first Dhurandhar had earned Rs 1300 crore worldwide and is still playing in some theatres three months after its December release.
