Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar’ has achieved an unexpected box office triumph, becoming the 5th biggest Indian film ever in just 22 days, grossing Rs 648.5 crore. This Hindi-only release surpassed ‘Kalki 2898 AD’s’ collection, despite the latter’s multi-language release. The film’s success continues, with projections for further gains and a second part slated for March 2026.

Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar are scripting box office history that no one expected from them, it has now become the 5th biggest hit of Indian cinema in just 22 days. The film has till now collected Rs 648.5 crore going past Nag Ashwin and Prabhas’s futuristic mythological film Kalki 2898 AD which had collected Rs 646.31 crore by the end of its theatrical run, Kalki starred Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Deepika Padukone, she wont be part of the second part due to unavoidable reasons. What makes this achievement even more special is how things panned out. Dhurandhar is a Hindi-only release while Kalki 2898 AD was released in 5 languages with a pan-India roll out. Dhurandhar started on a good note with Day 1 bringing in 28 crore, it ended Week 1 with Rs 207.25 crore , a major push for the film came in the second week where it collected Rs 253.75 crore . In Week 3 the film saw an over 30 % dip but still collected Rs 173 crore and with that the total collection of the film reached Rs 648.50 crore. With Rs 648.5 crore already in the bag and collections still ticking, Dhurandhar has not only rewritten Ranveer Singh’s career record but has also carved its place in box office history. With New Year holidays kicking in, the film is expected to add another Rs 70-75 crore to its kitty by the time we reach January 2026. It has already become the 7th biggest Indian film of all time in North America with a total collection of over USD 15 million. The film also starring Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Gaurave Gera, Rakesh Bedi and Sara Arjun is also gearing up for the release of it’s second part on 19th March 2026.The second installment would be releasing in 5 languages. Dhurandhar will be clashing with Yash’s comeback film after the KGF franchise and it also stars Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria and Rukimni Vashisth- it is directed by Geetu Mohandas.
