Enrique Iglesias` concert: Debinna Bonnerjee reminisces her teenage days

The King of Latin Pop, Enrique Iglesias, returned to Mumbai after 21 years and led all his fans into a sea of nostalgia with classic tracks like Hero, Enamoro and Bailamos. The Grammy Award winner enthralled more than 25,000 fans with his 90-minute performance at the MMRDA grounds in Bandra-Kurla Complex. This is the singer’s third visit to India, and second visit to Mumbai.

Debina and Gurmeet enjoy Enrique’s concert

Actress Debinna Bonnerjee and her actor-husband Gurmeet Choudhary, too, took a nostalgic trip down memory lane as they attended the global music icon’s concert, with Debinna calling it a moment that brought back her teenage memories.

The couple, known for their effortless charm, attended the concert in stylish yet relaxed fits. Gurmeet opted for a simple jeans-and-white-tank look, while Debinna showed off her chic crop top and pants. Together, they made the perfect couple as they lost themselves in the music.

Overwhelmed by the concert and eager to share her love for Enrique, Debinna took to her Instagram handle to share glimpses of the unforgettable night with fans. In the reel, Debinna and Gurmeet are seen thoroughly enjoying the moment when Enrique sings Hero on stage. Belting the track energetically, the couple are seen grinning ear-to-ear. Fans also spotted them swaying to the beat and sharing cozy moments, completely lost in the soulful music. Reliving their teenage days, Debinna captioned the reel, “Watching this concert together, our teenage hero live… Alone at our own times, and now together in this moment …. That’s how destiny plays, that’s how relationships stay, That’s how love grows. An era of memories unlocked and it was all worth it Thank you @enriqueiglesias you be the best.”

Debinna shared a couple of stories from the night on Instagram, revealing she grew up listening to Enrique and that this was an impromptu plan that turned out to be one of the best nights of her life. A clip showed Debinna and Gurmeet leaving the concert hand in hand, marking the perfect end to a night of love and nostalgia.

The much-loved couple are currently seen on the Colours show Pati, Patni aur Panga which features other celebrity couples and is hosted by Sonali Bendre and Munawar Faruqui.

Celebrities at Enrique Iglesias’ concert

A number of celebrities attended the concert and took to their Instagram to share clips of themselves enjoying the performance. Malaika Arora posted a video of herself dancing and singing to his hits, with Rakul Preet and Jackky Bhagnani seen in the background, which went viral in no time.

Vidya Balan too arrived at the concert. The actress shares a special connection to Enrique’s 2004 concert, particularly the song Hero, as it marked the moment her life changed forever. Speaking to Bombay Times, Vidya recalled, “My friend Pavitra and I were at Enrique`s concert in Mumbai in 2004, when director Pradeep Sarkar called me to offer Parineeta. Dada told me that Vidhu Vinod Chopra wants to talk to me. VVC told me then, `You are my Parineeta,’ and by then Enrique had come back on stage and sang Hero. It is undoubtedly one of the most special moments of my life,” she shared.

Noted celebrities like Sharad Kelkar and wife Keerti Kelkar, couple Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla, Rahul Vaidya and Elnaaz Nourozi were also spotted at the concert. Actor Jay Bhanushali also made his first public appearance amid divorce reports.
