Anuj Chaudhary sends help to actor Rajpal Yadav amid jail sentence

The Uttar Pradesh’s Assistant Superintendent of Police, Anuj Chaudhary, has sent Rs 51,000 from his salary to actor Rajpal Yadav. The former wrestler posted a video to announce the same on his social media. In a video message, he said in Hindi, “Friends, as you can see today on social media and news channels, there is a lot of discussion going on about Rajpal Yadav ji. Artists like Rajpal Yadav ji have made us laugh for years, brought smiles to our faces, and given us reasons to stay happy even during difficult times. Those who bring joy to people’s lives should not be left alone in their tough phase.”The Arjuna Awardee cop added, “From my side, I have stepped forward to support him. In this challenging time, I would like to contribute Rs 51,000 from my salary account as a gesture of support. The amount may not be very big, friends, but I want to give what I can, as per my capacity.”Watch the video here.

According to the reports, the actor took a loan of Rs 5 crore to finance his directorial debut, ‘Ata Pata Laapata’, in 2010. The movie was released in 2012 but failed at the box office. And hence, the actor failed to repay the amount. After years of cheque bounces and legal proceedings, the court asked him to surrender at Tihar Jail.The Delhi HC court adjourned the bail hearing of February 12, 2026. It has been scheduled for Monday, February 16, 2026.
