Actor Gurmeet Choudhary has come out in support of Rajpal Yadav as the latter surrendered in cheque bounce case. In a public message, Gurmeet called Rajpal Yadav an “immensely talented” actor and urged producers, directors and members of the film fraternity to lend a helping hand when the actor strongly needs it now.

Gurmeet Choudhary pens a heartfelt note

“It breaks my heart to see a senior, immensely talented artist like Rajpal Yadav ji going through such a painful phase,” he shared and mentioned that Rajpal Yadav has given everyone countless smiles, laughter and unforgettable moments. “As a fellow actor and as a human being, I am stepping forward to help in whatever way I can. I humbly request all producers, directors, and members of our film fraternity – let`s come together, with compassion and humanity, and find a solution. Our industry is a family. And family does not abandon its own.”

Gurmeet shared his X post on his Instagram stories and mentioned that the actor has spread laughter for years, and now, at a moment where he requires the most, he deserves care, dignity and support. In addition to this, Gurmeet gave a special shoutout to Sonu Sood for extending help to Rajpal Yadav by offering him the opportunity to be a part of his film. “sonu sood bhai always the one to get people together,” he wrote.

All about Rajpal Yadav`s case

For the unversed, Rajpal Yadav surrendered to Tihar Jail authorities in Delhi on Thursday after the Delhi High Court refused to grant him relief in his cheque-bounce case. The actor had sought an extension of the deadline for his surrender; however, his request was declined.

Sonu Sood also extended help to Rajpal Yadav by offering him a film and financial aid. Bihar politician Tej Pratap Yadav has also extended Rs 11 lakh in financial aid to Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav as he surrenders in connection with a Rs 9 crore cheque bounce case at Tihar Jail. The support aims to help Rajpal amid his ongoing legal and financial struggles. Other industry figures, including Sonu Sood and Gurmeet Choudhary, have also offered support, with Sood even offering Rajpal a role in his upcoming film. Rajpal had surrendered after the Delhi High Court denied further extensions to settle the dues, a legal battle that has drawn widespread media attention.
