On track, in court
Director Raaj Shaandilyaa has said that ‘Bhagam Bhag 2’ remains on track despite a legal dispute with Ektaa R Kapoor. The sequel to ‘Bhagam Bhag’ (2006) stars Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal, with Manoj Bajpayee replacing Govinda in the new instalment.

Reports suggested the shoot was halted after Ektaa took legal action over an alleged breach of contract with Balaji Motion Pictures. Responding to the claims, Raaj said, “I had issued a notice terminating my arrangement with Balaji Telefilms. I remain fully confident of my legal position. It may also be clarified that the film ‘Bhagam Bhag 2’ is very much on track and the project will proceed as scheduled.”
Owning career mistakes
Bhumi Pednekkar
Actor Bhumi Pednekkar has admitted that some of her career choices were mistakes. Speaking at the We the Women event, Bhumi said, “I have made mistakes. One of the biggest ones was where I kind of diluted the fact that I had made a career out of the fact that I had agency. At times, you are just tempted because you want that Rs 200 crore hit.” Bhumi stressed she would draw a firm line, saying, “I would not do a character where there is disrespect to my gender. I have worked very, very hard to create a space led by performance,” she added.
No work is small
Govinda
Actor Govinda has responded to criticism over his recent appearances at events, which some on social media described as “small shows”. Addressing the remarks in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, the actor defended the nature of the programmes he attended. “Woh jinhen chhota keh rahe hain, wo ek Chief Minister ka event hai aur doosra Member of Parliament ka. Agar aap usse chhota keh rahe hain toh main kya kahoon?” Govinda said.
Outsider wali feel
Mona Singh
Actor Mona Singh is currently in a busy phase with three releases in the past one-and-a-half months — Happy Patel: Ek Khatarnak Jasoos, Border 2 and Kohrra Season 2. Speaking about the latter, which explores gender power dynamics and patriarchy, Mona said the themes mirror realities even within the entertainment industry. She noted that in a “most masculine culture”, there is often a “brotherhood romance” where women are made to feel like outsiders. The actor added that such attitudes persist everywhere, with many men still uncomfortable taking orders from women or including them in key decisions.
