The overzealous morality police is at it again, busy pushing its idea of “sanskaar” onto everyone else. Reports suggest a revised version of ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, starring Ranveer Singh, quietly made its way to theatres last weekend. The original fix? A stray cameraman caught in a mirror during a crucial scene. But that wasn’t all. According to a Bollywood Hungama report, the makers had earlier muted a few profanities while letting the rest slide. Not anymore. In the latest cut, Sanjay Dutt’s SP Chaudhry Aslam gets firmly censored during the Lyari sequence — his actions remain, but his words? Gone. Even the supporting cast has been scrubbed clean of the colourful language. Apparently, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) had initially recommended 21 cuts in the Aditya Dhar directorial venture. Tough luck if you missed the earlier version. You’re now stuck with a sanitised, slightly neutered edit. So much for creative freedom, eh?

I confess…

In a refreshingly candid moment, Abhishek Bachchan admitted he once struggled under the weight of his father Amitabh Bachchan’s legacy — trying to fill his shoes while quietly understanding wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s global fame. On a podcast with Lilly Singh, he said, “Have you seen my wife? Have you ever seen her on a red carpet? It’s the most daunting thing for me to go on a red carpet, period. And if I have to do it with her, it’s terrifying. They’re all professionals, and they’re so good at it. I’m like a block of wood. I don’t know what to do. Should I keep my hands in my pockets? I’m very awkward. So they [photogs]always end up saying, ‘One more smile, please’.” Now that kind of honesty, we like!
Second innings!
JD Majethia with wife Nipa Majethia
Love gets a sequel in real life! Actor and producer Jamnadas Majethia tied the knot again over the weekend, stepping into what he calls the “second innings” with his wife Nipa Majethia. Sharing glimpses of the celebrations on Instagram, he wrote, “This reel took its own sweet time to come out, but then again, our marriage has been running on the same timeline.” Calling it a labour of love, he admitted the video was delayed thanks to work, endless edits, and “a little bit of life drama”. “Between endless edits, work chaos, and a little bit of life drama — this one kept getting pushed. But looking at it now, feels like every bit of that wait was worth it.” Awww…
