IND vs NZ|Watch: Rohit Sharma’s son Ahaan and Hardik Pandya’s girlfriend Mahieka Sharma share adorable moment together

A light-hearted off-field moment caught attention of Indian cricket fans ahead of the upcoming ODI series against New Zealand. India’s star all-rounder, Hardik Pandya’s girlfriend Mahieka Sharma sharing a warm interaction with Rohit Sharma’s son Ahaan.

The moment unfolded on Sunday, January 4, when Hardik and Mahieka were seen at Jamnagar Airport along with Rohit. Rohit’s wife Ritika Sajdeh was also present as the group exited the airport together. During the brief stop, Mahieka was spotted engaging playfully with Ahaan, who was in Ritika’s arms, smiling as the candid moment was captured.

Watch the video here:

Mahieka has been a familiar presence alongside Hardik in recent months, following the all-rounder making their relationship public in October 2025. The airport visuals offered another glimpse into the close bonds shared within the Indian camp as players transitioned into the new international season.

India are set to begin their 2026 international calendar by hosting New Zealand in a three-match ODI series starting January 11. The opening two matches will be played in Vadodara and Rajkot, before the series concludes in Indore on January 18. Following the ODIs, both sides will lock horns in a five-match T20I series.

Hardik, however, will not be part of the ODI action, having been rested along with pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah as part of India’s workload management plans. The decision reflects the team management’s long-term approach with an eye on major tournaments ahead.

Much of the focus will instead be on Rohit, who has enjoyed a productive run with the bat in recent months. After impressive outings against Australia and South Africa, the Indian captain continued his form in domestic cricket with a strong showing for Mumbai in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. As India’s preparations gradually build towards the 2027 ODI World Cup, Rohit will be eager to carry that momentum into the New Zealand series and strengthen his case as a key figure in the side’s future plans.
