
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi bashed RCB for 78 runs in 26 balls to give RR a fast start against the visitors. Chasing 202, the 15-year-old started off with a bang to give RR a fast start along with his opening partner, Yashasvi Jaiswal.
Sooryavanshi hit 8 fours and smashed 7 sixes in his innings. The southpaw has started the season with a bang for his team, scoring runs in all the matches so far.
Jasiwal was dismissed for 13 in 8 balls after a returning Josh Hazlewood took his wicket. Dhruv Jurel and Sooryavanshi stitched a partnership to put RR in a stable position at the end of the power play.
Earlier, Virat Kohli was the star of RCB`s batting in the power play as he scored 32 off just 16 balls. However, the Indian star was dismissed by Ravi Bishnoi. Kohli`s wicket started a free fall for RCB as they lost 5 wickets by the end of 10 overs.
Captain Rajat Patidar scored 63 runs in 40 balls to take RCB to 201 runs at the end of 20 overs. Romario Shepherd scored 22 runs in 11 balls to support him.
For RR, Archer was the star as he took 2/33 from his 3 overs. Bishnoi was back among wickets too as he took 2/32 in just 2 overs. Brijesh Sharma took 2/37 in his four overs.
