Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij were once one of the most adored couples on television. Their fairytale love story left everyone gushing. However, things have now turned bitter, and their marriage has hit rock bottom. The couple, who have been living separately for quite some time, have finally headed for divorce. They reportedly signed the papers in July-August, and the custody of their kids has also been settled.
Jay Bhanushali, Mahhi Vij head for divorce
As per a Hindustan Times report, Jay and Mahhi are heading for splitsville. A source informed the publication, “Much was tried, but nothing changed. Separation happened a long time ago. They filed for divorce a couple of months back. The papers have been signed and finalised in July-August, and the custody of the kids has also been decided.”
The report further suggests that trouble began over Mahhi’s trust issues with the television actor. “Once known for their joint vlogs, they’ve stopped posting pictures together. Their last collaborative family post was in June 2024,” the source added.

When Mahhi spoke about divorce rumours
In an interview with Hauterrfly, Mahhi said, “Even if it is the case, why should I tell you? Are you my uncle? Will you pay my lawyer’s fee? Why do people make such a big deal out of somebody’s divorce or separation? I see people writing in my comments section, ‘Mahhi toh decent hai, Jay aisa hai’. Then somebody else writes, ‘Jay accha hai, Mahhi hi aisi hai’. They just want to blame someone. Do you even know the truth?”
The couple has been living separately for over a year. They reunited for daughter Tara’s birthday, but glimpses from the celebration showed they were distant. Jay even went on vacation with Tara recently, sans Mahhi.
Mahhi Vij’s work front
The actress is all set to make her grand comeback to television after nine years. Mahhi will share the screen with Parth Samthaan in the upcoming TV show Seher Hone Ka Hai. She is currently shooting for the show in Lucknow.
Mahhi gained popularity with her roles as Nakusha in Laagi Tujhse Lagan and Nandini in Balika Vadhu. She has also been part of several reality shows, including Nach Baliye 5, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4, and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7.
