Jaya Bachchan spoke about her relationship with Aishwarya Rai in an old interview and that has sparked new discussions amid rumours about Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai’s split.
In the conversation with designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, Jaya openly shared details about her connection with Aishwarya. In the interview, Jaya spoke about the difference between a daughter and a daughter-in-law. She explained that, unlike with parents, one cannot take their in-laws for granted. She also shared her own personal evolution, noting that over time, she now feels more connected to the Bachchan family than to her own Bhaduri roots.
The veteran actress discussed her parenting style, revealing that she was strict with her children, Abhishek and Shweta. However, when asked about her relationship with Aishwarya, she explained that she doesn’t need to be strict with her daughter-in-law, as Aishwarya’s own mother would have already provided that guidance.
