Jeep unveils the futuristic next-gen Compass in a striking lime green color, featuring hybrid technology and a revamped design.

Jeep has made a significant leap by debuting its next-generation vehicles driven by hybrid and electric engines in a daring step toward the future. Though renowned for creating challenging, trustworthy and adventure-ready cars, Jeep is now moving into the environmentally friendly lane with cars that whisper as well as roar.

Now offered with mild-hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fully electric choices, the all-new Jeep Compass heads this charge. Let’s analyze what this means, why it matters and how Jeep is evolving for the future while remaining true to its foundations.

Introducing the New Jeep Compass: More Than Just a Facelift

The next-generation Jeep Compass takes center stage in this new era. This updated edition appears different and is based on the STLA Medium, a whole new platform. Electric and hybrid engines are especially catered for on this platform, hence increasing the vehicle’s flexibility, future-readiness and efficiency.

Here’s what makes the new Compass stand out:

Modern, boxy design: The SUV presents a stronger, more square-off appearance. It’s contemporary yet yet rough.

Smart Interiors: Inside, the car is loaded with tech—big screens, wireless charging, and voice controls.

Safety First: From automatic emergency braking to blind spot monitoring, safety is now smarter.

The interior enjoys an almost total overhaul as well; a big 16.0-inch touchscreen on the dashboard takes centre stage. Both of these are standard equipment on every model of the Compass; there is also a deep-set 10.0-inch digital instrument cluster. Below the main touchscreen, there are touch-based controls, new slim AC vents at either ends, a rather elegant centre console with a rotary dial and a thick red terrain mode button. It also uses a fair amount of aluminium and wooden dashboard inserts to raise the premium quotient.

Regarding amenities, the new Compass has over-the-air (OTA) updates, connected car tech, head-up display, a wireless charger between front seats and a panoramic sunroof. According to Jeep, the new Compass is roomier and more functional than the former one.

New Jeep Compass Powertrains:

The new Jeep Compass comes with three powertrain options: a 143 BHP 48V mild-hybrid, a 192 BHP plug-in hybrid and three fully electric (BEV) variants—offering 211 BHP and 229 BHP in front-wheel drive models and up to 370 BHP in the top-tier all-wheel drive version. Jeep has unveiled a new focused and stronger rear electric motor delivering an extra 49 kW of peak power and up to 232 Nm torque to reach this amazing 370 BHP. Combined with a 14:1 rear reducer, this results in 3100Nm rear-wheel capacity.

The all-electric Compass can travel up to 650 km on one charge. A 160 kW DC fast charger could cover 30 minutes from 20 to 80 percent. It also features a 22 kW on-board charger.

To enhance ground clearance and provide 31-degree departure, 16-degree breakover, and 27-degree approach angles, the 4xe all-wheel drive variant has a 10mm suspension lift.

The safety features include Level 2 ADAS, front and rear parking sensors and a rear view parking camera.

Orders are now open for the First Edition; deliveries are planned for Q4 2025.

From automatic emergency braking to blind spot sensing, safety today is more intelligent.

The Greater Scene: Jeep’s Electric Future

The new Compass is only the starting point. By 2030, Jeep has already stated that half of its worldwide sales should be electric. More models will soon have electric or hybrid variants, including fan favorites like the Renegade and the Grand Cherokee.

Jeep’s parent company, Stellantis, is investing billions in electric vehicle research. Thus, we can look forward to more thrilling launches over the next few years.

Final Thoughts: A Smart, Green Jeep for Everyone

Jeep has consistently stood for adventure and the spirit of freedom. It’s now fusing that attitude with smart technology and sustainability. Whether you are a longtime Jeep fan or new to SUVs, this new generation presents something fresh, clean and thrilling.

The latest Compass, equipped with hybrid and electric powertrains, proves that embracing green technology doesn’t mean compromising on power, performance, or style. If you want a vehicle tough on terrain but gentle to the environment, Jeep’s next-gen variants are absolutely worth the wait. The new Compass is now open for orders in Europe, with deliveries scheduled to start in the fourth quarter of 2025. Production will take place at Stellantis’ Melfi facility in Italy.
