Popular Punjabi singer Karan Aujla is currently touring India with his Pop Culture Tour. He began his tour in New Delhi on February 28 and is now in Mumbai, where he is set to perform on March 3. Upon his arrival in the city, Karan enjoyed a ride in Mumbai’s famous autorickshaw. He made headlines after clearing Rs 17,000 worth of pending traffic fines for the driver who took him around the city. He later also paid Rs 5,000 in dues for another driver.

On Monday, Karan Aujla’s photographer, Taran Sodhi, shared a video of the singer travelling in a rickshaw in Mumbai. The rickshaw was stopped by a traffic policeman, and the driver was asked to clear his pending fines of Rs 17,000. The generous singer immediately instructed his team to settle the fines.

Upon witnessing this, another driver approached Aujla and requested that he clear his debt as well. The second driver had a pending fine of Rs 5,000. The singer obliged and instructed his team to pay it off. The driver was overjoyed and, upon realising it was Karan Aujla who had paid his dues, hugged him.

Karan was heard saying, “We got pulled over because the auto driver had some pending fines and we told the policeman that we’d pay his fines. I love doing this.”

Aujla also advised the driver not to incur more fines in the future and to follow traffic rules. He said, “Koi aur pay nahi karega (no one else will pay). Suddenly I am the city’s favourite.”

Karan Aujla on his tour

Karan Aujla made history on Saturday evening, kicking off his highly anticipated P-POP CULTURE India Tour, produced by Team Innovation, with a sold-out performance at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Over 75,000 fans packed the stadium, marking one of India’s highest-attended single-day concerts after Coldplay and establishing him as one of the highest-selling live Punjabi acts in the country.

Talking about the milestone, Karan Aujla said, “Tonight was more than just a concert; it was a celebration of culture and a moment where we all connected through the one language of love, passion and unity. To see all of Delhi show up and celebrate with me was truly humbling. Delhi, you made history with me tonight, and this is just the beginning of the P-POP CULTURE revolution. Pind ton ithe tak, eh ikk sapna hai jo sach ho giya (From the village to here, a dream has come true).”

Aujla delivered an unforgettable show that fused Punjabi pop with immersive production. The P-POP CULTURE Tour, which debuted in the Middle East before arriving in India, transformed the stadium into a pulsating arena of light, sound and energy.

The concert opened with a high-octane DJ set by DJ Chetas, whose mixes set the tone for the night. Aujla then made a dramatic entrance from beneath the main stage on a pop-up lift, instantly igniting the crowd. Midway through the show, he wowed fans with a zipline ride across the stadium, connecting with audiences across multiple tiers and creating a 360-degree immersive experience.
