Morning collapse and quick wickets – In the first session, Karnataka suffered a dramatic batting collapse. Despite a brilliant 160 from Mayank Agarwal, the lower order crumbled, and they were bowled out for 293. Fast bowler Auqib Nabi was the star, taking 5 wickets. Having a massive 291-run first-innings lead, J&K chose not to enforce the follow-on and decided to bat again to set a target. However, Karnataka struck back briefly with the new ball, reducing J&K to 11/2 by Lunch.
