The makers of Salman Khan’s upcoming film Battle of Galwan have released the first track from the movie. A day after unveiling the teaser of the song Maatrubhumi, Salman shared the full song on his social media platforms.
Composed by Himesh Reshammiya, the song offers audiences a patriotic anthem just ahead of Republic Day, providing an emotionally charged glimpse into the musical heart of the much-anticipated war drama.

The track features Salman Khan as an Indian Army officer alongside Chitrangada Singh and also highlights Chitrangada’s warm family moments, setting the tone for the film’s narrative.
The visuals show the couple, along with their two children, singing Maatrubhumi. The sequence then transitions to Salman and his team preparing for battle, reflecting the story’s patriotic and emotional themes.
The song has been sung by Master Mani Dharamkot, Shreya Ghoshal, and Arijit Singh, with lyrics penned by Sameer Anjaan.
Speaking about the song, Himesh Reshammiya said, “Composing Maatrubhumi for Battle of Galwan was deeply emotional. Inspired by the rhythm and intensity of army beats, the song found its soul there. Collaborating with Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal was special, and reuniting with Salman Khan, while marking the music release from Salman Khan Films Music label, makes it truly memorable.”
Battle of Galwan stars Salman Khan and Chitrangada Singh in the lead roles. The story is based on the real-life 2020 clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in the Galwan Valley.
The film was initially set to clash with Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh’s Alpha on April 17. However, the clash has been averted, and the makers of Alpha are expected to announce a new release date soon.
Battle of Galwan which is one of the most awaited films of this year is directed by Apoorva Lakhia. The movie promises an unflinching portrayal of bravery, sacrifice, and resilience.
