Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift: Ahead of its expected launch in the coming months, a test mule of the Mahindra Scorpio N facelift was spotted on public roads. The spy images gave a first look at the SUV’s minor exterior updates and noticeable interior changes, while the mechanical setup is expected to be largely unchanged. Once launched, the updated Scorpio N will continue to compete with the Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, and MG Hector plus.
The Scorpio N facelift appears to receive mild styling updates rather than a full redesign. At the front, the grille and lower air dam now feature horizontal slats, replacing the current design. The front bumper also looks slightly revised. However, the LED headlamps and fog lamps with C-shaped surrounds are unchanged.
From the side, the most visible update is the new 18-inch alloy wheels, which feature a fresh five-spoke design. The rest of the side profile looks similar to the current model. The rear section was not clearly visible in the spy shots, but minor updates such as new LED tail-lamp signatures and a tweaked bumper are expected.
Interior upgrades
The biggest updates are expected inside the cabin. The Scorpio N facelift is likely to get a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, replacing the existing 8-inch unit. This screen is expected to be borrowed from the Mahindra Thar Roxx. To fit the larger display, Mahindra appears to have redesigned the centre console, with the AC vents now positioned horizontally below the screen.
A new digital driver’s display is also expected, likely a 10.25-inch unit, replacing the current analogue dials and small MID. Other elements such as the brown-black interior theme, physical control buttons, and the flat-bottom steering wheel appear to be retained.
Engine options
Mechanically, the Scorpio N facelift is expected to continue with the existing 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 203hp and the 2.2-litre diesel engine producing up to 175hp. Both engines are likely to be offered with 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes. The diesel variant will continue to offer 4×4 in select trims.
Mahindra may also introduce updated suspension tuning to improve ride quality, though this has not been officially confirmed.
