MasterChef India continues to raise the bar, weaving contemporary influences into the depth and diversity of India’s culinary heritage. Adding a powerful new dimension to the ongoing Jodi’s season, celebrated New York–based Chef Chef Naushad recently returned to India to be part of the MasterChef India experience.
Chef Naushad appears on MasterChef
Chef Naushad’s presence reflects the evolution of Indian cuisine across cultures while remaining anchored in tradition. This season marks a first in the show’s history, with 12 Jodis competing together, bringing stories of partnership, shared legacies, and collaboration to the forefront, while allowing for deeper storytelling and meaningful brand integrations. The return of original judges Vikas Khanna, Ranveer Brar, and Kunal Kapur further strengthens the legacy of MasterChef India, as the platform shines a spotlight on India’s nuanced micro-cuisines and forgotten heritage recipes.
As MasterChef India Season 9 unfolds, moments like Chef Naushad’s visit reaffirm the show’s position as more than a cooking competition; it stands as a cultural stage that honours Indian food, its people, and its stories.
Shilpa Shetty pays ode to India on MasterChef
Shilpa Shetty graced the show in early January during its Harvest Special episode. Coinciding with festivals such as Pongal, Makar Sankranti, Lohri, and Magh Bihu, the Harvest Special became a vibrant reflection of India`s shared spirit.
Welcoming the season of harvest, Shilpa Shetty beautifully captured the sentiment, saying, “At this time, the whole of India is engulfed in the colours of harvest and festivals. Sometimes Pongal, sometimes Sankranti, sometimes Bihu, sometimes Lohri. The names may be different, but the aim is one, happiness.”
Sharing her experience of being part of the Harvest Special, Shilpa added, “The Harvest Special episode of MasterChef India felt truly special to me. Every dish narrated a unique story, every flavour paid homage to our rich culinary traditions, and together they came alive as a celebration of Indian talent that is stepping forward with confidence, creativity, and fearlessness on a global stage.”
MasterChef India is now streaming Monday to Friday at 9 pm on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV.
