Mohammed Shami steals the show with explosive batting in practice session

NEW DELHI: Mohammed Shami showcased his batting prowess during a practice session, surprising fans with a display of powerful hitting. Shami grabbed attention as he fearlessly smashed deliveries with powerful shots during the nets, doing so without the protection of a helmet or pads.
Shami took to social media to share the video of his batting and wrote “Batting practice with the same dedication and passion! Sharpening my game at NCA, one ball at a time.”

Shami, who last represented India during the 2023 ODI World Cup, recently made his return to domestic cricket following a lengthy injury layoff due to ankle surgery.
Recuperating at the BCCI‘s Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, he marked his comeback with an impressive performance, taking seven wickets to secure Bengal’s first win of the Ranji Trophy season.
He further showcased his form by claiming nine wickets in the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. However, concerns linger over swelling in his knee, which surfaced during the domestic T20 competition.
Shami was rested for Bengal’s Vijay Hazare Trophy opener against Delhi on Saturday but is expected to feature in the upcoming matches.
His participation is considered a crucial step in assessing his fitness and readiness for upcoming international assignments, including the Champions Trophy.
