Bijapur: In a historic success in the resolution of a ‘Naxal-free India’, security forces have killed 31 Naxalites in the largest 21-21-wandering against Naxalism on Karguttalu Hill (KGH) on the Chhattisgarh-Telangana border. A total of 214 Naxalite hideouts and bunkers have been destroyed in the operation, and during the discoveries a total of 450 IEDs, 818 BGL shells, 899 bundles have been recovered in large quantities of codax, detonator and explosive material.

In addition, about 12,000 kg of food supply has also been recovered. As part of the operation, security forces also destroyed four Naxalite technical units, which were being used to produce BGL shells, homemade weapons, IEDs and other deadly weapons. During the operation, large amounts of ration supply, medicines and daily use items were also recovered from various Naxalite hideouts and bunkers.

In important operations, a total of 18 personnel of Commando Battalion for Commando Battalion for Commando Battalion, Special Task Force (STF) and District Reserve Guards (DRG) were injured in various IED blasts. All the injured personnel are now out of danger and are receiving the best possible treatment in various hospitals.

Chhattisgarh Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFS) recovered the bodies of 31 uniformed Naxalites, including 16 women Naxalites, and after 21 encounters 35 weapons, which were more than 21 days on Karguttalu Hill (KGH), which was considered an oppressed stronghold of Naxalites on Chhatisarfa.

The border areas of Sukma and Bijapur, including the most powerful armed organizations such as PLGA Battalion, CRC Company and Telangana State Committee, have been homes for many top cadres. As a result, Naxalites formed an integrated command and took refuge in Kurigutalu Hill (KGH), which is considered impervious, located on the border of Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, and Mulgu, Telangana. KGH is a extremely difficult mountainous region, which is about 60 km long and 5 to 20 km wide, with a very difficult and challenging geographical area. Using the collected intelligence, the team made careful plans for the operation, which included determining the strength of the forces deployed, schedule continuously and arrange timely replacement. Intelligence inputs were continuously analyzed and relative to field commanders in real time, which enabled the security forces to detect the Naxalite operative, their hideouts and weapons cash, while on many occasions helped prevent casualties from instantaneous explosive equipment (IEDS). Acting on this intelligence, security forces successfully recover the adequate amounts of IED, BGL shells and other explosive materials.

This operation stands as the largest, most wide and well-coordinated-nexal campaign to date, a notable example of spontaneous cooperation between different state and central agencies working together on an integrated platform. Officials said the information obtained during this historic 21-day-long anti-Naxal operations, officials said that many senior Naxal cadres were either killed or seriously injured during the operation. The number of Garhwale police stations, which was 66 in 2014, has now increased to 555. Long -term results of this broad operation against Naxalites are being seen, such as the division of large and armed Naxal units in many small units. The grip of security forces on these areas has become stronger, and they are constantly moving forward in the MAAD area under Bijapur district and Narayanpur district in the National Park area.
