Ahead of the IPL 2025 match between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Mumbai Indians (MI), the players will wear black armbands to mourn the victims of the terror attack that took place on Tuesday in Pahalgam, Kashmir.
The IPL 2025 match between MI and SRH will not feature the cheerleaders or fireworks following the incident in Kashmir.
Additionally, both teams will observe a minute`s silence to pay their respects to those affected in Kashmir.

“The players of two teams will wear black armbands and observe a minute`s silence in the memory of all those who lost their lives in the terrorist attack in Kashmir`s Pahalgam,” a BCCI source told PTI.
“As a mark of respect there would be no cheerleaders on the sidelines of MI vs SRH game. No crackers will be burst,” he added.
On Tuesday, terrorists opened fire on civilians in South Kashmir. So far, according to the reports, the death count has increased to 26 and several people are injured.
The Resistance Front (TRF), which is a part of the banned Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror group, claimed responsibility for the attack. The attack has drawn strong condemnation from across the world.
Previously, Team India stopped playing bilateral cricket with Pakistan after the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. Recently, for the concluded Champions Trophy 2025 held in Pakistan, Team India refused to travel to the country and played all of their matches in Dubai, following the hybrid model.
Coming to the IPL 2025, the Hardik Pandya-led MI will clash against the SRH at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium at 7.30 pm. MI is placed in the sixth position in the points table and will aim for a major turnaround ahead of the Hyderabad match. On the other hand, Pat Cummins and Co. have already suffered five defeats and are placed in the eighth position.
