The terrorist attack, which took place on Tuesday at Basaron Meadow in South Kashmir near Pahgam, died, most of them were tourists. After the attack, Congress MP and opposition leader Rahul Gandhi returned to New Delhi in the early hours of Thursday, reduced his American visit. Prime Minister Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitarman also stopped their international visits in Saudi Arabia and America due to the incident.
How is India reacting?
• India has reduced diplomatic relations with Pakistan and has announced several strong measures in response to the Pahalgam terror attack who killed 26 citizens. Steps include expel to Pakistani military officers, suspend the 1960 Indus Water Treaty, and immediately shut down the attic land border crossing.
• This action was decided a day after the attack during the meeting of a Cabinet Committee (CCS) headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The CCS approved the five specific retaliatory steps, ordered the security forces to be on high alert, and vowed to get justice to the attackers.
• The two countries will reduce their diplomatic employees from 55 to 30 May in high commissions of each other. Pakistani citizens will no longer be allowed to enter India under the SAARC Visa Rebate Scheme, and such a visa should be left in India within 48 hours in advance.
• India has declared defense, military, Navy and aerial advisors as personality non -Greta at the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi, giving them one week to leave the country.
