Palaash Muchhal makes public appearance at court amid cheating allegations

Singer and filmmaker Palaash Muchhal has been making headlines for his personal life ever since his wedding with ace cricketer Smriti Mandhana was called off in November, reportedly at the last minute. Rumours soon surfaced alleging that Muchhal had cheated on the cricketer. Amid these claims, a few women shared accounts of their past interactions with the singer, hinting at a pattern of alleged infidelity. Earlier this week, Mandhana’s childhood friend and actor-producer Vidnyan Mane claimed that Muchhal was caught red-handed during the wedding celebrations, leading to major drama at Sangli, where the wedding was scheduled to take place.

Smriti`s friend actor-producer Vidnyan Mane accused Muchhal of cheating him of over Rs 40 lakh over an investment in an unreleased film. He has also filed a complaint in Sangli, Maharashtra. He also said that the singer cheated on Smriti.

Reacting to it, Muchhal issued a Rs 10 crore legal notice to Marathi actor and producer over what he has termed as “highly defamatory” allegations related to an alleged Rs 40 lakh fraud case in Sangli. Palaash has strongly denied the claims and said the accusations were made with the intention of damaging his reputation.

Sharing details on social media, Palaash revealed that the legal notice was sent by his lawyer Shreyansh Mithare. Making his stand clear, he wrote, “A legal notice for defamation of Rs 10 crore has been sent by my lawyer Shreyansh Mithare to Sangli-based Vidnyan Mane for his false, outrageous and highly defamatory accusations made against me.” He further asserted that the allegations were completely untrue and malicious in nature.

What did Mane say?

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Mane, shares, “I was at the wedding celebrations (November, 23, 2025) when he was caught red-handed with another woman in bed. Bhayanak scene tha, he was beaten up by the Indian female cricketers. The entire family is chindi chor. I thought he’d get married and settle in Sangli, but it has completely backfired on me.” He claims that he is Smriti`s childhood friend and was introduced to Palaash by the Mandhana family.

The 34-year-old adds, “When I met his mother (Amita Muchhal) last month, she said the budget to release the movie has now increased to Rs 1.5 crore. They asked me to invest another Rs 10 lakh or I wouldn’t get any money back. They started blackmailing me and threatened to throw me out of the film, so I was forced to file a complaint.”
