Pavitra Punia confirms postponement of her wedding due to personal emergency

Television actress and Bigg Boss 14 fame Pavitra Punia has decided to postpone her wedding, which was earlier scheduled to take place in March, to her US-based businessman fiancé. The actress confirmed the development while opening up about the reasons behind the delay, saying the decision was taken after careful thought and discussion within the family.

Pavitra Punia talks about her wedding getting postponed

Speaking candidly, Pavitra shared that the postponement was unavoidable due to a recent personal loss in the family. “Yes, my wedding has been postponed,” she said, adding that the family felt it was important to take time to heal before celebrating such a major life event. According to the actress, everything had been planned keeping March in mind, but circumstances forced them to reassess the timeline.

Pavitra revealed that while new dates have not yet been finalised, the wedding will now be pushed ahead by several months. “The dates are not decided yet, but it will not happen before August,” she explained. Emphasising that the decision was emotional rather than logistical, she added, “We are trying to cope with what has happened and give ourselves time.”

When Pavitra Punia made it official

The actress had announced her engagement last year and had spoken fondly about her partner, describing him as a grounded and supportive person outside the entertainment industry. “He is a businessman based in the US. He is not from the industry, and he is a very kind and understanding human being,” Pavitra had earlier said while confirming her engagement. She also shared that they had been together for a while and were confident about taking the next step.

Pavitra acknowledged that postponing the wedding was not easy, especially after sharing the happy news with friends and well-wishers. However, she maintained that family comes first. “Some things are beyond planning, and you have to respect emotions,” she said, stressing that celebrations can wait.

Before this relationship, Pavitra was in a much-talked-about romance with actor Eijaz Khan, whom she met on Bigg Boss 14. The two eventually parted ways, after which the actress found love again.

For now, Pavitra says she is focusing on work and personal healing, assuring fans that the wedding will happen when the time feels right.
