Planning A Valentine’s Proposal? Astrology May Improve Your Chances, Check How | India News

In Vedic astrology, not all days carry the same emotional or romantic vibration. Friday, ruled by Venus, is the most auspicious day for love proposals.

Valentine’s Week has begun, and among its many days, Propose Day, celebrated on February 8, often makes hearts race a little faster. For many, it is the most nerve-wracking moment of the week.

Propose Day is all about timing—finding the right words, choosing the perfect moment, and hoping your feelings are met with the same warmth you offer. In many ways, it’s about having the stars align before you finally speak your heart.

So, if you’re planning to propose this Valentine’s Week, here’s some astrological guidance to help you make the moment as foolproof as possible.

Third-generation astrologer and spiritual guide Gargi A Jaitleey shares says, “In the ‘Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra’, Maharishi Parashara describes Venus (Shukra) as the significator of love, marriage, pleasure, beauty, and harmony.”

She adds that A strong Venus blesses a person with charm, emotional sensitivity, and fulfilling relationships.

“Echoing this idea, Western astrologer Liz Greene, in ‘The Astrology of Fate’, explains that Venus shapes our values in relationships—what we attract and how we express affection,”  Jaitleey says.

She explains that when Venus is well-placed or supported by benefic transits, expressions of love—proposals, confessions, and commitments—are more likely to be reciprocated.

Venus-Friendly Days to Propose

In Vedic astrology, not all days carry the same emotional or romantic vibration. Certain weekdays and lunar stars are considered more supportive for matters of the heart.

Friday, ruled by Venus, is the most auspicious day for love proposals. Monday, governed by the Moon, supports emotional bonding and heartfelt conversations.

Certain nakshatras are also known to enhance romantic outcomes, including Rohini, Mrigashira, Purva Phalguni, Uttara Phalguni, Anuradha, and Revati.

At the same time, Jaitleey advises avoiding proposals during Rahu Kaal, eclipse periods, or when Venus is combust or severely afflicted in transit.

Texts like ‘Muhurta Chintamani’ and ‘Brihat Samhita’ emphasise the importance of choosing a shubh muhurta for success in personal milestones.

Astrological Remedies Before Proposing

Ancient remedies are not superstition—they are energy-balancing practices rooted in classical texts like the Skanda Purana and Lal Kitab. These small acts are believed to strengthen Venus and clear emotional blocks.

Offering white flowers to Goddess Lakshmi or Goddess Parvati on a Friday, chanting “Om Shukraya Namah” 108 times, donating white sweets, rice, or curd to a young girl or a needy woman, and keeping your bedroom clean and fragrant are all said to enhance Venusian energy before a proposal.

Colours That Attract Love Energy

Jaitleey explains that colours carry vibration, and astrology has long associated certain shades with emotional openness and attraction.

Pink symbolises unconditional love, white reflects purity and sincerity, pastel blue brings emotional comfort, and light green supports healing and freshness.

Interestingly, Western colour psychology also echoes this idea. In ‘The Secret Language of Colour’, Joann Eckstut notes that softer hues encourage emotional receptivity and warmth—exactly what one hopes for while confessing love.

Do’s And Don’ts Before Confessing Love

Before you speak your heart out, Jaitleey advises grounding yourself emotionally. Speak from calmness rather than urgency, keep your intentions respectful, choose a peaceful environment, and be mentally prepared for any outcome.

Avoid proposing in anger, stress, or emotional turmoil. Manipulation, pressure, or intoxication before expressing feelings is strongly discouraged.

As Swiss psychologist and astrologer Carl Jung believed, when inner energy aligns with cosmic rhythm, external reality begins to respond.

What Men Should Do To Find A Wife

From the Durga Saptashati (Argala Stotra), the ‘Patni Manorama’ Mantra is traditionally chanted to seek a compatible and emotionally harmonious wife.

Matra In Sanskrit :

पत्नीं मनोरमां देहि मनोवृत्तानुसारिणीम्।

तारिणीं दुर्गसंसारसागरस्य कुलोद्भवाम्॥

Transliteration:

Patnīm manoramām dehi

manovṛttānusāriṇīm |

Tāriṇīm durgasaṁsāra-

sāgarasya kulodbhavām ||

Meaning

“O Divine Mother, bless me with a beautiful, graceful wifewho understands my mind and emotions, who helps me cross the ocean of worldly struggles and comes from a noble, virtuous lineage.”

Jaitleey recommends chanting this Mantra 108 times daily for 90 days, beginning on a Friday or Tuesday, with a clean body, calm mind, and pure intention. The mantra seeks not just beauty, but understanding, emotional support, and shared growth through life’s challenges.

What Women Should Do To Find A Husband

The ‘Katyayani Mahamaye’ Mantra, dedicated to Goddess Katyayani, is considered one of the most powerful mantras for marriage. It seeks a partner with virtues symbolised by Lord Krishna—compassion, strength, and emotional depth.

Full Mantra In Sanskrit:

कात्यायनि महामाये महायोगिन्यधीश्वरि।

नन्दगोपसुतं देवि पतिं मे कुरु ते नमः॥

Transliteration:

Kātyāyani mahāmāye

mahāyoginyadhīśvari |

Nandagopa-sutaṁ devi

patiṁ me kuru te namaḥ ||

Meaning

“O Goddess Katyayani, O supreme Yogini, please bless me with Nandgopa’s son (Krishna)

—or a husband with Krishna-like qualities.”

Chant this mantra begining on a Friday, ideally in the early morning, 108 times daily for 90 days, with sincerity and clarity of intent.

It is important to note that these mantras and remedies work only when the intention is pure. They do not support manipulation, obsession, or actions that harm another relationship or marriage. Astrology, at its core, is about alignment, not control.

Astrology does not force outcomes; it reveals windows of opportunity. When intention, effort, and cosmic timing align, the chances of success naturally increase.

So this Valentine’s Day, before you pop the question, pause for a moment. Seek the universe’s blessing. Align with Venus. And let love flow naturally—because when love is supported by the stars, it doesn’t remain just a moment. It has the potential to become a destiny.
