Pooja Bhatt’s brother Rahul calls Alia ‘paani kam chai’

Mahesh Bhatt`s daughters Pooja Bhatt and Alia Bhatt share a very close bond. While the former has been on top of her game since her debut, the latter has been the leading heroine of her time. While the two have maintained high regard for each other, Pooja`s brother Rahul Bhatt has claimed she is much more talented than Alia.

Alia Bhatt in ‘paani Kam chai’

In an exclusive chat with Hindi Rush, Rahul said Alia Bhatt is just “paani kam chai” in front of Pooja. “In my opinion, she is not even half of what my real sister Pooja is — not in talent, not in looks, not in terms of being sexy. In front of my sister, she is ‘paani kam chai (not as good)’. This is my personal opinion. If you ask, amongst all our siblings, who is the most talented, the most moralistic — it is Pooja. Pooja is the true inheritor to take the legacy of my father ahead. I saw her in her stardom. She was the biggest sex symbol of the country at that time,” the former Bigg Boss contestant and fitness instructor told the portal.

“She is a mother now. She is very successful, and one can’t just pick up the phone and say ‘I am coming to meet you’. I never shared that with anybody. I like to maintain a certain protocol. She is a good mother, and she is taking care of my other stepsister, Shaheen Bhatt, very well, which I respect more,” Rahul further added.

Alia Bhatt’s work front

Meanwhile, on the work front, Alia is busy filming her upcoming movie Alpha. Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha is set to be a notable addition to Yash Raj Films’ acclaimed spy universe and is scheduled for release on December 25. It also stars Sharvari as the parallel lead and Bobby Deol as a menacing antagonist.

She also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War with Ranbir and Vicky Kaushal. Alia earlier collaborated with Bhansali in the 2022 drama Gangubai Kathiawadi.

Ranbir will be seen in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. Produced by Namit Malhotra, the epic saga will feature Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram. Sai Pallavi will star as Sita, and Yash as Ravana, with the first instalment slated for release in 2026 and the second part in 2027. The actor also has the sequel of Animal, titled Animal Park, and Brahmastra 2 and 3.
