After formalities in Siliguri, arrangements were made to take Tamang’s mortal remains to Darjeeling, his hometown. A public viewing is planned at Chowrasta, allowing fans and well-wishers to pay their final respects before the last rites are performed. Large crowds are expected to gather, as Tamang enjoyed immense popularity in the hills and was regarded as a local icon whose success story inspired many young aspirants.
