Aam Aadmi Party MP Raghav Chadha has called for lowering the minimum age for contesting elections in India from 25 to 21. Speaking in the Rajya Sabha during the Monsoon Session, Chadha emphasized that India, with its youthful population, needs greater youth representation in politics. He pointed out that 65% of the country’s population is under 35, and 50% is under 25. Will this proposal bring a new wave of young leaders into Indian politics?
