Veteran actor Sudhir Dalvi, who is loved for his portrayal of Sai Baba on screen, is currently fighting a serious health battle. The 86-year-old actor has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai, since October 8, 2025, where he is undergoing treatment for severe sepsis, a life-threatening infection that has left him in a critical state.According to reports, Dalvi’s medical expenses have already crossed Rs 10 lakh and may rise to Rs 15 lakh as his treatment continues. His family has expressed concern over the escalating costs and appealed for financial assistance from fans and well-wishers within the industry.
Riddhima Kapoor Sahni among first to help
The news has sparked an outpouring of concern online, with many recalling how deeply Dalvi’s work as Sai Baba touched their lives. Among those who responded was Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, daughter of late actor Rishi Kapoor and sister of Ranbir Kapoor. She contributed to the actor’s medical fund and commented under a social media post, writing, “Done 🙏🏻 Wishing him a speedy recovery.”
