As stated by TNN, according to police sources, the youths were allegedly influenced by messages portraying the act as a “mission” by “Hindu sainiks” aimed at spreading fear and gaining fame. Reports suggest the main shooter received an advance payment of Rs 50,000 and was promised a larger sum after the attack.

On Monday, the Mumbai Crime Branch and the UP Special Task Force made seven more arrests linked to the shooting case. Investigators revealed that two groups were behind the operation: a Pune-based unit that arranged logistics and a North India network responsible for carrying out the attack.

The shooter, Deepak Chandra Sharma, along with Sonu Thakur, Hrithik Yadav, Vinshu Kushwaha, Jatin Bhardwaj, and Vishal Thakur, hail from Agra, Etawah, and Haryana.

According to the report, around Rs 60,000 was allegedly given to the Pune group, while the seven-member UP team reportedly received Rs 1 lakh for carrying out the shooting.
